Not only does it safely identify and remove items, it allows for MASS removal of duplicates not just one at a time. Simple fast easy and perfect this is an APP not a computer and it does exactly what it should.

July 9th - First review - I have only used this app twice. Once with videos (all in the same folder) and once with pictures. It has an automatically choose feature which I chose to use and then checked all of the pictures that it chose and it chose the ones I would have chosen except for one. out of 1375 pictures, there was a picture that I had renamed. I had been testing another app and was testing the ability to move files from my iPhone to computer without iTunes. I renamed one of the files to see if it would recognize it. Since I renamed that picture, I wanted to keep that one; otherwise, it wouldn’t have made a difference. Basically, the app chose all of the correct duplicates, but if you had made any name changes and care about that, just make sure that its the one not chosen. I’ll come back and review again after using this a lot more and tthe star rating will either go up to a 5 or drop. We’ll see. ******

Uninstalled after first use: - Two advertising pop ups when first opened and 1 more asking me to write this review when I quit. - Auto-selection is arbitrary and resulted in me needing to manually selecting each item. - “Filter” does not allow for filtering of anything of value like a folder name or date, just the extension. Which is redundant because those can be specified in the preferences. - There is a chime when the scan is completed and there is no way to turn it off. I don’t need noises (or pop ups). - There are several other finders that provide more capability and with less hassle.

I tried the photos duplicate app, and it didn’t work. This one cleaned 40 gig of duplicate movies and photos for me in an evening. So 5 stars.

The first five files this program called duplicates were, in fact, very different files. It did find most of the real doubles, but I still wouldnt trust it. Not as good as Gemini.

Just what I was lookin for. It worked great. You can choose multiple folders and it does with class.

I just wasted 60 minutes trying to figure this app out - but everytime it launched and finally made it through a folder I would start to delete the duplicates. 4-5 duplicates into the list of a lot more dup files than I could have expected it crashed. Then I would do it again…crashed and so on and so on….needs some work and was excited. The reason I did not give it a 1 star was soley due to the heads up I have a lot of duplicates.

This application got 3 stars mainly because it didn’t actually do what I was hoping it would be able to help me with. The application itself did a great job at scanning the folder I selected, and showed me all fo the duplicated files, however i wasn’t able to delete any of the 121GB of duplicated files because they are in iTunes and it won’t delete files from iTunes. On to the next application that will hopefully help me clear up all of this space!!!

Perfect for detecting duplicate files. Especially useful after migrating from computer to computer with several back ups etc.

I have a couple reasons for giving one star: 1) I bought this app a long time ago. It was listed on the App store, then taken down by Apple... I dont think even the developer knew why. They followed up with people who bought there and gave serial #s if needed which is lucky because it did *not* maintain purchased functionality after a Time Machine recovery. Something I had to do just recently, and they refuse to even acknowledge attempts to recover the serial for this situation. Perhaps because theyre busy making money on here again. Poor customer support is never appreciated! 2) First thing when you open the app is an ad for other apps. Not a great start to a 9.99 app. I understand you have other software you want to sell us, but a whole pop-up window of ads on a paid app is in poor taste. The good - it does what it says, but... it seems slower than before... perhaps I just liked the full status preview of progress/total. As with anything performing large deletes on your system you have to build up trust, so it is nice that it displays the location of each file and offers a preview. ***Once you trust it, you can bulk delete with the check mark at the top. Also, to speed things up at that point, turn the preview off.***

My finder was a mess… so I downloaded this app, opened it, and in literally less than a minute cleared 147 duplicate files. Couldn’t ask for anything more.

I downloaded this app mainly because I have a lot of a music that I have uploaded to my computer from a few different hard drives and whatnot and was hoping to clear up some space on my computer with it. The app won’t even search through my music to see if there are duplicates, nonetheless my entire computer. The duplicates it was able to find are insignificant files. I wanted to use this to clean up my music library and it did nothing of the sort. DO NOT DOWNLOAD

WHAT A JOKE! Finds ALL of your duplicate files, but it will NOT delete ANY of them!! POS program!!!

This Is not only the fastest most accurate duplicate finder I’ve ever used but Its Interface Is well designed and makes selecting and deleting duplicate files a painless process unlike other I have tried. Best of all It’s free! I just recovered close to 250GB on a hard drive and It only took about an hour to do so! My conclusion Is that this app Is worth paying for and I’d gladly pay for future upgrades.

Seems to be good, but I’m unsure. It’s buggy, which is worrisome since deleting is dangerous: I ran a scan and hardlinked a handful of duplicates, and then put a system to sleep and when I woke it up, the scan results were invisible — 0 duplicates found.

Great little app. Definitely works as advertised, and is incredibly fast! Needs the following to be perfect; 1. Similar searches (find pictures that are similar based upon percentage) 2. Granular deletion controls

I gave it 3 stars rather than 4 or 5 because it is missing a few features that I would like to have mostly with automation. For example I have 23K duplicate photo files. I would like a way to say this folder contains duplicates of that folder, eliminate all duplicates from one or the othe folder rather than making me rsolve each file. The price was certainly right (free).

Awesome app, just wish I could “Select All” instead of manually selecting everything. Worth the money if you have a lot of duplicates though.
